Getting back to some of the cel and background work, here is a really amazing piece from "Sleeping Beauty" (1959). Great cels on a 2-foot Eyvind Earle Master Background.
This is a Key Set-up of Briar Rose (Aurora) on a Eyvind Earle (1916-2000) master background. The background of this piece was borrowed by the Disney Studio in 1993 for a 6 month traveling show in Italy. Disney produced a book for the show and featured this background as “a classic example of Eyvind Earle.” A 26”W x 12”H Master Production Background painting by artist Eyvind Earle. Includes cels of Briar Rose, the “mock” Prince (animals dressed in the Prince’s cloak) and various forest animals.
