"Make Mine Music: Blue Bayou" (1946) - Watercolor Concept ("Make Mine Music" Series)

This has always been one of my favorites. The dark quality. The stream of light. The uplifted wings. All seem to give the impression that it is a secret glance into the heart of the swamp.

However, the dark quality of the image does create a problem when it comes to placing the image on a wall. The location needs to have good lighting and it needs to be hear eye level so that you can really pick up the detail. Placement too high or in a dark area really diminishes the overall quality of the piece.
