"Happy Thanksgiving" (circa 1950) - Pen and Ink

I don't have any real information on this piece, but it is certainly appropriate to post this today.

From an unknown film (circa 1950). Pen & ink illustration. of Mickey, Goofy and Turkey at thanksgiving dinner. Mickey in center holding pie. Steam rising from the food in red.     This looks like a magazine illustration piece. Maybe something for Western Family magazine?

    Interesting thought, thanks Patrick... I'll have to check out Western Family. The only notation on the sketch is a '3"' reference on the left vertical. Mickey's ears have that "quickly drawn" look that was around for a while. Thanks, again, and I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

    Hi,

    I would guess that this comes from an issue of Dell's Walt Disney's Comics & Stories, which had text stories using such illustrations as openers.
