Unknown Chip & Dale From the Art Corner (circa 1950's)

I had posted part of this set earlier, but realized that they should be posted together.

It's a Chip & Dale cel on a real production background. The film is unknown. Along with the cel and background was this insert from the Art Corner. Not shown is the original Art Corner shipping envelope...

I thought it was a great pair -- certainly speaks to an earlier time!

[I was just looking at the background again... Boy, it sure has some Earle-like characteristics!]

  1. I think this cell is from the Disney TV Show "The Adventures of Chip and Dale." At this point, Chip and Dale are jumping on two sides of a blotter. I'll have to look it up...

  2. Joe -
Thanks for the comment! Let me know what you find...

  3. Art corner was known for having fantastic artists sketch cells for guests. Bill Justice made several visits to draw his Chip and Dale images. My understanding is that though these are original works of art-- they are copies of what was used for the shorts. The archive has all the shorts cells.

  4. That's definately a Sleeping Beauty background. That's even a better find than the cell!
